Types of Threaded Fittings

Threaded Elbow (90°, 45°, Street Elbow)

A Threaded Elbow is a type of forged pipe fitting designed to change the direction of flow in a piping system using a threaded connection. These elbows are typically available in 90-degree and 45-degree angles, and are ideal for small diameter pipelines under low to medium pressure.

Street Elbows are a variation with male and female threaded ends, allowing for more compact installations without additional fittings. Threaded elbows provide a secure and leak-proof joint and are widely used in plumbing, fire protection, oil & gas, chemical processing, and HVAC systems.

Threaded Elbow

Threaded Tee (Equal & Reducing)

A Threaded Tee is a T-shaped fitting used to join three sections of pipe or tube with threaded connections. It allows for the division or combination of flow in piping systems. Threaded Tees are available in two main types: Equal Tee (all three ends are the same size) and Reducing Tee (one outlet is smaller than the others).

These fittings are widely used in low-pressure, non-critical piping systems where welding is not suitable. They are ideal for applications in oil & gas, fire sprinkler systems, plumbing, petrochemical plants, and general industrial services.

Threaded Tee

Threaded Coupling (Full, Half & Reducing)

A Threaded Coupling is a forged fitting used to join two lengths of threaded pipe in a straight line. These couplings come in various types including Full Coupling (threads on both ends), Half Coupling (threaded on one end only), and Reducing Coupling (joins pipes of different sizes).

Threaded couplings provide a tight, secure, and leak-free joint without welding, making them ideal for quick assembly and disassembly. They are commonly used in plumbing, oil & gas, chemical processing, HVAC, and fire protection systems where moderate pressure and corrosion resistance are required.

Threaded Coupling

Threaded Union

A Threaded Union is a type of forged pipe fitting that allows for easy connection and disconnection of piping systems without the need for cutting or welding. It consists of three components: a male end, a female end, and a central nut that joins and seals the connection securely.

Threaded unions are ideal for frequent maintenance, replacement, or repair operations in piping systems. They are widely used in oil & gas, chemical processing, power plants, water treatment, and HVAC systems for their ease of installation, reusability, and strong leak-proof performance under moderate pressure.

Threaded Cap

A Threaded Cap is a forged fitting used to seal the end of a pipe or fitting with a female thread. It prevents the entry of debris or unwanted substances and ensures a secure closure for pressure-containing piping systems. Threaded caps are easy to install and remove, making them a convenient solution for temporary or permanent closures.

These caps are available in a range of materials and pressure classes to suit various applications. Commonly used in plumbing, oil & gas, water supply, fire protection, and chemical processing industries, Threaded Caps are known for their tight seal, corrosion resistance, and mechanical strength.

Threaded Cap

Threaded Cross

A Threaded Cross, also known as a four-way fitting, is used to connect four pipes together at right angles. It has one inlet and three outlets (or vice versa), allowing for the distribution or collection of flow in multiple directions. Each end is internally threaded, making it easy to assemble with male-threaded pipes.

Threaded crosses are ideal for use in low-pressure applications where compact and modular connections are required. They are commonly used in fire protection systems, water supply networks, oil & gas distribution, plumbing systems, and industrial fluid handling. Manufactured in a variety of materials and pressure ratings, they ensure durability, corrosion resistance, and ease of maintenance.

Threaded Cross

Threaded Nipple

A Threaded Nipple is a short length of pipe with male threads on both ends, used to connect two female-threaded fittings or pipes in a straight run. It is available in various lengths, diameters, and pressure classes, and is an essential component in compact piping setups.

Threaded Nipples are manufactured from a wide range of materials including stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, and high nickel alloys to ensure compatibility with various media and environments. They are widely used in plumbing, water supply, oil & gas, chemical processing, and industrial fluid systems for their easy installation, pressure handling, and corrosion resistance.

Threaded Nipple

Threaded Adapter (Male & Female)

A Threaded Adapter is a forged fitting used to transition between different types of pipe connections—typically from threaded to welded, or from male to female threads. It ensures a secure and leak-proof connection between dissimilar piping components and helps in adapting system configurations.

Threaded Adapters are available in both Male and Female versions and are manufactured in a wide variety of materials to meet diverse industry standards. These adapters are commonly used in oil & gas, petrochemical, HVAC, water supply, and fire protection systems for their versatility, reusability, and ease of installation.
